My name is Kyle. I work in a locked facility for adolescents with mental and behavioral problems. Because of privacy issues, all of the names used in this blog are fictitious but the people are real. The purpose of this blog is to chronicle the stories of those people who are on the fringes of society. Those people who you probably see but don’t even realize it. Those people who life has dealt a rather shitty hand to and yet they are tasked with the job of putting it all back together.

I was involuntarily committed to Fairfax mental hospital in Kirkland WA for 3 weeks because I had a psychotic break with reality. But my break wasn’t the violent kind. I thought I was a mermaid. Your blog will be very interesting, since the perspective is one I hadn’t thought of before.
